'A Date Which Will Live in Infamy'

This week marks the 78th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, and we've prepared two lessons to help you to teach this critical piece of history. Pearl Harbor (6-8th grade) is broader in scope, covering Japan's alliance with Nazi-Germany, as well as America's shameful internment of over 100,000 Japanese-Americans.

Pearl Harbor Middle School Lesson
America's response to Pearl Harbor

The 3-5th grade lesson focuses more closely on how America was impacted by and responded to the attack. Both of these lessons include President Roosevelt's famous speech, which is embedded directly into the teaching materials!
